Born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, Dr. Sartelle studied at Tennessee Tech, Belmont College, and the University of Tennessee, where he received his undergraduate degree in Microbiology, as well as a Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.
While pursuing his education, he met and married his wife, Jeanne, and together they relocated to South Central Virginia. Early in his career, Dr. Sartelle gained experience by working for the Virginia Department of Health and moving into private practice as an associate of Jim Williams, DDS, of Front Royal. Dr. Sartelle has practiced dentistry in Front Royal for more than 35 years. Along the way, he and his wife raised three daughters and have celebrated the births of their first two grandchildren – with the hope of more to come!
Dr. Sartelle follows Proverbs 18:15 when it says, “The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge, for the ears of the wise seek it out.”
